FJ Cruisers

History of the FJ Land Cruiser

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is a series of off-road vehicles produced by Toyota from the early 1950s to the present. The Land Cruiser was first introduced in 1951 as Toyota's version of a rugged, all-terrain vehicle. The FJ series, which stands for "Fully Equipped Jeep", was introduced in 1960 as a more rugged and capable version of the Land Cruiser. The FJ series was produced until 1984, and it was known for its off-road capabilities and durability. Today, the Land Cruiser continues to be produced, but the FJ series is no longer in production. However, it is still popular among off-road enthusiasts and collectors.

Toyota made various models of the Landcruiser over the years. The FJ40 model was produced from 1960 to 1984 and was available in a variety of body styles, including a hardtop, pickup, and wagon. The FJ60 and FJ62 models were produced from 1980 to 1990 and featured a larger and more comfortable interior. The Toyota FJ Cruiser, a modern-day interpretation of the FJ40, was produced from 2006 to 2014.
